This morning I was frog marched round Lodhi Gardens, still, there are worse places to exercise!
Groups doing laughter yoga which can’t help but bring a smile to their (and our) faces, aunties in groups gossiping as they go, older men sitting on benches gesticulating with their friends, the expat group studiously focusing on their teacher (probably from Claridges we surmised), dog walkers walking at their dog’s pace keeping a beedy eye out for the street dogs who rule the park, fit young groups of men (we barely noticed them), slender ladies determined to remain that way, people stopping and performing a quick series of exercises then continuing on, one couple draped over each other on a pre wedding shoot and more pairs of designer sunglasses than one can shake a stick at!
There’s a wonderful lack of inhibition in India, people have the ability to just get on with what they want/need to do regardless of who may be watching. But then, this is a land of 1.3 billion and space is a luxury.
